Y-16 Is Home.

Y-16 is home. Now the hands-on work begins as the team prepares for a safe first launch.

Y16 boat

Every race team has a first night in the shop, a first checklist and a first time hearing its boat come to life.

For Y-NOT Racing, that first chapter belongs to Y-16.

Y-16 is home. Now the plan is to learn every system, build the team around the boat and work toward a safe first launch. Years spent watching from shore are turning into work we can do with our own hands.

What happens next.

With Y-16 home, the work starts with the details. What came with the boat? What needs inspection? What needs repair, replacement or organization? What does the team need to master before the boat ever touches the water?

Some nights will end with a big milestone. Others will be checklists, parts, cleanup, safety procedures and advice from racers who have done this for years. All of it moves the boat forward.

The work comes first.

Experienced racers, officials and volunteers have built knowledge that deserves respect. The fastest way forward is to ask good questions, listen closely and earn progress one stage at a time.

The first milestone is complete: Y-16 is home. Next, the first work is completed. The engine starts. The boat launches. Kyle earns his first safe laps. The team reaches its first green flag.

Those moments are the heartbeat of Y-NOT Racing.

We came from the beach. Now we are building our way to the buoys.
